Hopp through after surviving matchdarts, Van den Bergh wins with 106 average

Max Hopp survived three matchdarts in a 6-5 victory over Stephen Burton. The German Darts Open champion came 5-4 down, before taking the last two legs.

Dimitri van den Bergh defeat Simon Stevenson 6-4 with a stunning 106 average. The Belgian also missed double 12 for a nine-dart finish en route to victory. Cristo Reyes beat Bastian Pietschnig 6-1 to book his place in the second round.
