Huybrechts & Wright to face off in Quarter-Finals after impressive performances

We have our next set up Quarter-Final in Zwolle with Kim Huybrechts facing off against Peter Wright after impressive performances to reach tonight's final session.
'The Hurricane' was impressive in seeing off the home favourite Jermaine Wattimena in a brilliant battle that went to a final deciding leg but it was Huybrechts that came through for his first Quarter-Final in some time after a spell in the darting doldrums.
Wright on the other hand was even more impressive in seeing off Gerwyn Price. He hit a 103 average in seeing off the Iceman with four 180's in a welcome return to form for 'Snakebite' who himself has been inconsistent.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
