Steve Lennon reached the quarterfinals of an Euro Tour event for the very first time as he defeated James Richardson at the Dutch Darts Masters.

The Irishman received a bye earlier, after Rob Cross had to pull out from the tournament in the Netherlands. Lennon threw back-to-back 26-scores in the legdecider, however Richardson was not able to take profit of that. Lennon then took the win with a 69 finish on double 18.
Mensur Suljovic overcame Simon Whitlock as the Austrian won the last four legs of their encouter. 'The Gentle' will meet Lennon on Sunday evening in the quarterfinals.
