Michael van Gerwen claimed victory at the German Darts Grand Prix and during his quarter-final win against Ted Evetts the Dutchman extended his phenomenal streak on the European Tour with leg-deciders.

Van Gerwen saw his opponent Ted Evetts coming back to 5-5 after a 5-2 deficit. ‘SuperTed’ hit a superb 128 checkout to break back and level the match in the tenth leg. The Dutchman threw a 12-darter in the leg-decider to claim the win. The world number one has now won twenty consecutive last leg deciders on the bounce dating back to 2015.
His last defeat came at the European Trophy in 2014 where he lost to Michael Smith and he has won every one ever since. Five of his twenty wins in leg-deciders were in European Tour finals.
