Liverpool & Berlin Darts fans set to go head-to-head at London’s Finals Night in the Premier League Darts.
One of sport’s great rivalries looks set to reignite on the oche of the O2 tonight when darts players representing Liverpool and Berlin go head-to-head in the final of the Unibet Walk-On Challenge. Darts fans from both cities will try and get the highest score possible using only 9 darts.
The England v Germany nine dart showdown will take place just prior to the PDC stars taking to the stage for Finals Night of this year’s Unibet Premier League. Having topped the charts of the tournament that involved players representing 14 cities in this year’s Unibet Premier League both teams have been treated to a three day all expenses paid VIP trip to London as well as an exclusive training camp with the Flying Scotsman himself, double world champion Gary Anderson.
Anderson will be giving the players some hints and advice on their play ahead of the final with the winner getting their hands on the Unibet Walk-On Challenge Trophy.
Leaders Liverpool Favourites For Final
Whilst Liverpool romped to the top of the leaderboard with a peerless score of 325, Berlin’s own brilliant score of 289 just pipped Birmingham to a place in the final by seven points.
Nottingham and Aberdeen were the only two other cities to post scores with a three-dart average of more than 90, all the more impressive given the amateur throwers had to handle the nerves of throwing under the lights of the Unibet Premier League stage and in front of thousands of fans.
Each week the tournament sponsor ran a competition that invited fans to send in their best darts Walk-On videos via social media with the #unibet180 tagline, performing their own style of Walk-On to the music of their choice.
The best videos in each city were selected and the winners not only had the chance to recreate their Walk-On live at the event but also competed on-stage in a 9-Dart Challenge in front of the Arena crowds.
