James Wade returned to form at the German Darts Masters in Dusseldorf. The multiple time major champion won through to todays' second round and a meeting with injured world number one Michael van Gerwen.
He defeated the German qualifier Kevin Munch in a win that despite not being 100% back to the best of 'The Machine' was close to being so.
This return to form was underlined with six doubles from as many attempts and a 101.90 average and after the win he gave a few words about his delight and admitted that the hunger is back and that he is taking steps to being back to his best.
"I'm happy for a change," admitted Wade. "The hunger is back and it's the first time it's been back for a long time, but I've been working hard and although it's a big hill to climb I'm taking steps."
