Krzysztof Ratajski has added his name to the list of ProTour champions.

The Polish Eagle became the the 69th player ever to win a ProTour title. He came out on top at UK Open Qualifying 6 in Wigan. Ratajski opened with a whitewash defeat of Eddie Dootson. He followed that up with wins over Rene Berndt and Ian White. He beat White 6-4, and repeated the feat in the next three rounds. Robert Owen, Carl Wilkinson and Corey Cadby all fell victim to the rampaging Pole.
Ratajski roared into a 5-1 lead against Rob Cross in the semi-final. The world champion fought back to make it 5-5, but the World Masters holder edged a tense final leg. Daryl Gurney was no match for the Polish Eagle in the final. Ratajski pounded in an 11-darter in the opening leg of a 6-4 success. Victory ensured a £10,000 prize and a spot as third seed at the UK Open in March. This was all despite the fact the Pole does not hold a Tour Card. He became the first PDPA Associate Member to win a UK Open Qualifier since Joe Murnan in 2015.
"I feel really great. I don't have a Tour Card and to win this tournament is something great for me," said Ratajski.
He added: "I felt really good at Q School and missed a Tour Card by one match; I had ten points and eleven was enough."
It was a solid all-round performance from the Polish ace. As well as the UKOQ 6 win, he notched up two quarter-final appearances.
"On the two [UK Open] weekends I felt that I played really good.
"It's bad for me that I don't have a Tour Card but I'm trying on the European Tour and in the UK Open," Ratajski said.
