After the announcement earlier today regarding the new broadcast deal the BDO have acquired; they have now confirmed finally that the venue will be Lakeside for the 2019 World Championship.
It is the 34th year in a row that the iconic venue at Frimley Green will host the World Championship.
The tickets will go on sale later today from the Lakeside Box Office; as well as online.
World Trophy and World Masters venues are being negotiated; with venues being announced in the coming weeks.
BDO Chairman / CEO Des Jacklin said ‘We are delighted that the Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships are heading back to Frimley Green.
After the announcement this morning regarding the broadcaster, we didn’t want this to detract from the exciting news that Lakeside Country Club had committed to hosting the Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships once again and felt a separate statement was necessary.
Both the players and the fans of the sport all look forward to the event and Lakeside has provided the perfect setting for over 30 years.’
