Ahead of Lakeside starting in a few days time, Dartsnews.com caught up with Lorraine Winstanley for an interview that has been released in two parts before Lakeside. You can read Part 1 here.

In Part 2, we speak about the Challenge Tour, Lorraine's husband Dean's potential return to darts, the standard of womens' darts and tips she has for any up and coming dart players.
Q. Lisa Ashton and Fallon Sherrock have previously played on the PDC Challenge Tour, would you have given it a go had the Q-School rules not been changed recently??
'I'd love to give the Challenge Tour a go so yes if the rules hadn’t changed then yes I’d probably have given it a go'
Q. Speaking of Q-School, how is your husband Dean doing and he's hinted at a potential comeback recently, should we expect him back potentially playing competitive darts again next year whether PDC or BDO??
'Yes Dean has had some time out and enjoyed it but he could be looking to make a return to competitive Darts'
Q. You spoke about there being no easy games at Lakeside, would you say this shows how good the standard of women's darts is at the moment and are you glad to be a part of that??
'The women’s game standard has risen massively. With more women wanting to play at lakeside and the entries rising to 16 a few years ago we’ve all had to work so much harder.'
Q. Finally to end the interview off, have you got any tips for up and coming players who want to get into darts??
'For anyone looking to get into Darts then go for it!! Join your local pub team. It’s a great social event for meeting new people and having fun. For young ones it’s fantastic for maths. There’s Nothing to lose as long as you enjoy it. I absolutely love it, I’ve made some amazing friends and traveled to places I would never have thought of visiting. I watched the lakeside on TV when working in the pub and thought I could do that.... it’s taken some time I’ve been playing for 23 years now but I’m so proud of what I’ve achieved. I couldn’t do it without the support of my sponsors Target Darts, Harlequin Teamwear, Davis Permanent Cosmetics and A & S Bearings and Transmissions.
