Ron Meulenkamp who is continuing on from his brilliant form on the Euro Tour last year is on the verge of reaching another semi-final. He defeated Justin Pipe 6-1 with a 101 average with his scoring exploits continuing.

He will not be facing Rob Cross in the Quarter-Finals though as the World Champion is out of the European Darts Open 2018. 'Voltage' was beaten by Richard North.
Cross broke North to force a deciding leg after 'Northy' missed his chance to hold to win. North though held his nerve to knock out the World Champion in the following leg despite only averaging 91 and will now play Meulenkamp.
