After a great weekend in Wigan and picking up two titles as well as a Quarter-Final to boot. Michael van Gerwen is now back on top of the ProTour Order of Merit taking Peter Wright’s place.
After a win and a final, Michael Smith has gone ahead of Rob Cross into 3rd place. This ranking is important as it gives out free spots into Euro Tours as seeds for the top-16.
This means from Van Gerwen to Gary Anderson or with him not playing them Alan Norris won’t have to be involved in the Euro Tour qualifiers.
Also Zoran Lerchbacher is into the top 32 reflecting the added bonus of a final at Sunday’s UK Open Qualifier 3.
