Michael van Gerwen wins third consecutive Players Championship Finals title

Michael van Gerwen has won yet another major title and his 3rd successive one in Minehead at the Players Championship Finals.
'Mighty Mike' smashed Jonny Clayton who was in his first final who didn't play badly at an average of around 95 for the most part but couldn't deal with MVG who ended up winning 11-2 against the Ferret.
For Van Gerwen it gives him even more confidence ahead of the Alexandra Palace after an unstoppable performance from the World Number One and he will believe he can become the three-time World Champion and it will be up to the likes of Phil Taylor, Daryl Gurney, Gary Anderson, Peter Wright and the other players involved to find a way to stop him.
