In another interesting stat released by the
PDC's resident statistician Ochepedia after round 1 of the World Championship, the Netherlands hold the top tournament averages after the 1st round.
This could be in part due to the depth of dutch talent taking part in the event with Michael van Gerwen, Raymond van Barneveld, Vincent van der Voort, Jermaine Wattimena, Jan Dekker and Jelle Klaasen all gracing the Alexandra Palace stage.
Scotland is similar and just below at 97.03 with the likes of Peter Wright, Gary Anderson, John Henderson and Robert Thornton with all of them making it out of round 1 so helping that.
England are only at 6th place showing that European Darts is growing massively with the likes of Chisnall, Lewis and Cullen all falling out in Round 1 leaving only a few players including Phil Taylor still in the tournament and still hitting high averages.
