Noppert claims maiden PDC title at Players Championship 20 in Dublin

Danny Noppert is a maiden PDC winner for the first time after switching earlier this year from the BDO. He won 6-4 against Ian White in the final of Players Championship 20.
‘Noppie’ has massively threatened to go the distance this year and this will be a massive confidence booster ahead of his World Grand Prix debut. He had to work hard for it though going 4-1 up then 5-2 before then just getting over the line with a 6-4 win.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
