Noppert after maiden PDC ranking title win: “I’m really happy with my performance”

Danny Noppert claimed a maiden PDC title at Players Championship 20 and admitted afterwards that he was really happy with his performance.
Noppert sees it as a case of believing in himself and he is going to do that when he plays in the World Grand Prix.
"Every time I play I believe I can do it and today I have done it," said Noppert, who will face Gerwyn Price on his Unibet World Grand Prix debut on Monday.
"I'm really happy with my performance today, I'm always working to get my level higher.
"It's all about believing in yourself, which I do, and now I'm looking forward to playing in the World Grand Prix.
"Everything is new for me, I'm only looking forward and I'm going to enjoy every event I play in."

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
