Danny Noppert has moved through to the second round of the PDC World Darts Championship with ease after a straight sets win over Royden Lam.

Billed as a potential stalemate, Noppie pounced on a poor showing from the Hong Kong ace to confound him to only one leg. In terms of statistics, Noppert hit a 96 average and as well as that two 180’s. This was compared to an 85 average and the same amount of 180’s for Lam. Noppert started the opening set well on his debut cleaning up 3-1 after going down 1-0. He continued his brilliance by claiming the next set three-nil to go two up in sets only needing one more. Noppie completed the clean sweep as he moved through against an underwhelming Lam. ‘The Wolf’ didn’t perform to his best at all having only four darts at the double. The Dutchman will now have a showdown with Max Hopp, another player who has had a brilliant year. for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
