It may have been straight sets but it was close basically all the way between the pair but it was the Stockton ace who came out on top. It was five 180’s and two ton-plus checkouts for ‘Super Ted’ as he moves through to a tie with Adrian Lewis in Round Two. In the opening set, it was closely fought with Evetts coming through with a 52 checkout in the deciding leg. This was the same in the next set; with Stevenson missing a dart for the set and Evetts as a result pinned tops with his last dart in hand.
