Norris hasn’t had the best of times on the dart board in the past year but showed here that he still has that class. Missed doubles were a theme of the first set on the part of Norris but it still went to a deciding leg with Lennon holding his nerve to win the first set. Norris came back wrapping up the second set in consecutive legs for parity. The close tie once again swung the way of Lennon with him going 2-1 up in sets after a timely 180 and 62 checkout. From there he couldn’t finish the job off with Norris winning a nervy deciding leg to claim the next set. The match then came to an end with a sudden death tiebreak with Norris edging Lennon out 6-5 to end a brilliant match. for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
