O'Connor produces brilliant 115 average to knock out England at World Cup

It's not coming home. Four-time World Cup of Darts winner England is out of the tournament after losing to Ireland, who are through to the quarter-finals for the very first time.

Steve Lennon made a perfect start for Ireland as he defeated Michael Smith 4-3. 'The Shamrock' had a bit of luck in the decider, as Smith had two bounce outs when he had 82 left. As a result 'Bullyboy' only got one match-dart, which he missed on tops. Lennon took out 15 in two darts and secured the first point.
William O'Connor claimed the win as he averaged a stunning 115.1 against world number two Rob Cross. He kicked off with 12- and 14-dart legs, before Cross reduced the deficit with a 81 finish. 'The Magpie' moved 3-1 up as he pinned double 16, before he threw another 12-dart leg to seal a sensational win.
