Part continues fairytale run to reach first TV Quarter-Final in 6 years

The evening session has started and we already have 3 quarter-finalists. One of them is the 3x World Champion John Part. ‘Darth Maple’ has reached his first TV quarter-final in 6 years.
Part defeated Mervyn King to do so, it was a 10-8 win for the Oshawa native.
He averaged 86.14 in his victory. King led 7-5 but Part dug deep to turn the match on its head to reach the Quarter-Finals.
Also through is David Pallett who defeated Kim Huybrechts and Robert Owen who has shown some form and defeated Ian White to reach his first Quarter-Final.

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I even turned to my husband and said "Could you imagine this happening if Russ Bray was the referee tonight? At least there would have been a crowd admonishment- Ladies and Gentleman please."
