Paul Lim once again showed that age is no barrier as 'The Singapore Slinger' rolled back the years to book his place in the first round and a game with Mark 'The Spider' Webster at the end of the night.
Lim ended up defeating Kai Fan Leung of Hong Kong in a good opening game with both players averaging mid 80's but it was Lim who came through in straight sets holding his nerve to seal the win against the throw when Leung missed 121 to force a deciding set and you have to potentially fancy Lim to potentially set up a clash with Gary Anderson who he helped to knock out at the World Cup depending on what Mark Webster turns up.
Overall though a classy display from the 63 year old who came out on top in his 10th
PDC World Championship appearance.
