PDC Development Tour 15 & 16 : First title for Schindler & 5th for Humphries

Martin Schindler continued his emergence by winning PDC Development Tour 15 to start the 3rd event of the weekend with 2 double headers over the Saturday and Sunday with Dimitri van den Bergh and Mike van Duivenbode picking up titles yesterday.
After a good run defeating the likes of Rowby-John Rodriguez, Kenny Neyens and Steve Lennon, the player known as 'The Wall' defeated emerging Dutch talent Justin van Tergouw to pick up his first Development Tour title winning 5-2.
In the 16th event, there was a 5th win of the season for Luke Humphries who is top of the Order of Merit and going into the last weekend of Development Tour is on the verge of a tour card. A guest last week on Dartsnews.com, Luke showed his good form that has seen him win 4 Development Tours, 1 Challenge Tour and also the Andover Classic recently.
He defeated Thomas King 4-0 before taking out Dan Read 5-2, he then defeated yesterday's winner Dimitri van den Bergh before securing his 5th triumph of the season against Ryan Meikle winning 5-1 in that one.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
