We'll be heading into it without the world champion and last year's Grand Prix runner-up. Rob Cross and Simon Whitlock both bombed out on Sunday. Six of the seeds remain, and four of them continue their campaigns on Tuesday evening.
First up is Dave Chisnall, who cruised past Max Hopp in round one. He'll meet five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld. The Masters finalist could potentially secure a rematch with Michael van Gerwen if he wins this one. Then comes a repeat of the
PDC World Matchplay semi-final, with Gary Anderson meeting Jeffrey de Zwaan. Anderson is in hot form, but the Black Cobra is a deadly opponent.
Daryl Gurney's quest to retain his title continues against Ron Meulenkamp, who did well to see off Joe Cullen on Sunday. Should the Northern Irishman win, he could meet Anderson in what would be an explosive quarter-final.
Michael van Gerwen might well face a massive test in his second round tie. Darren Webster reigned supreme against Stephen Bunting, mustering up a 98 average in a double-in format. Mighty Mike lost to Big John last year; little Darren could yet demolish his changes of Grand Prix glory.
