Day one of the PDC World Series of Darts Finals couldn't have gone better for the Australian contingent.

Raymond Smith, Damon Heta and Kyle Anderson all recorded wins in Vienna. Jamie Lewis stole the show with a magnificent win over Dimitri van den Bergh in the other highlight of the night. Now the seeds enter, including Michael van Gerwen, the only man ever to win the PDC World Series of Darts Finals. There's even another Aussie entering the mix.
The first contender from Down Under on Saturday evening is Kyle Anderson. After impressing in a win over Ian White, Michael Smith is next in his sights. Then comes a battle of the Raymonds, with Smith meeting van Barneveld. Gary Anderson then plays Dave Chisnall in a game nailed on to feature some big scoring.
The Price is Wright! Had to get that one in before the ITV4 commentators do later on. Pun-tastic duo Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright will both fancy their chances of winning this tie. Simon Whitlock, the seeded Australian entry, will want to follow his compatriots' fine example. But Daryl Gurney obliterated Steve Beaton and is a tough opponent.
Rob Cross might be wary about taking on Jamie Lewis, currently the form horse. European Championship winner James Wade's quest for World Series glory continues against Mensur Suljovic, who'll have even more adoring fans than usual in Vienna. Then Michael van Gerwen closes the night, taking on Damon Heta. It'd be one almighty shock if the Aussie could win this one.
