Day 2 is coming up in the Perth Darts Masters 2017 with the quarter-finals the focus of today's action with the semi-finals and finals being tomorrow to decide who will be the champion in Perth.
Still in the running is James Wade who is aiming for another good
World Series run after having one in Auckland a few weeks back and 'The Machine' has the test of the 'Bully Boy' Michael Smith who will be aiming to reach his first World Series final tomorrow and the winner of those two will play the winner of the next match.
The next match is between number 1 seed Gary Anderson and former European Champion Simon 'The Wizard' Whitlock. Gary has not had the best time in the Oceanic legs especially considering Van Gerwen has been absent but is looking to make amends by getting to the final 4 tomorrow but Whitlock will be standing in his way who will pose a test for the 2x World Champion.
Next up is another version of a classic rivalry between Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld, Taylor beat Kyle Anderson yesterday in a great game while Barney got revenge on young Aussie Corey Cadby who defeated him in Melbourne last week.
Continuing with Melbourne, the winner will play the winner of Peter Wright and Daryl Gurney and if Phil and Peter win we could get a repeat of last weeks final in Melbourne. Wright and Gurney will face off again with both men hoping to get their first title tomorrow after good World Series form this year.
