Phil Taylor is through to Round 3 of the
World Darts Championship after annihilating
Justin Pipe in the second game of tonight's final evening session before Christmas and it is Taylor who keeps his dream alive of getting a 17th World title to cap off a magical career.
It was plain sailing in truth after the first two sets with Taylor winning every leg up to the finish afterwards. He hit two 180's and 55% on the doubles including finishes of 96, 119 and 71 among others in a performance that wasn't vintage Taylor but it was enough to knock out Pipe who spent most of the game getting stick from the crowd including chants of your not coughing anymore.
He averaged 99.8 and will next play Keegan Brown who will be looking to put the Power out on his career next round.
