Pipe beats Van der Voort in clash between former Euro Tour winners

Justin Pipe has reached the second round at this first Euro Tour appearance in 2018. The Taunton Ace booked a 6-3 victory over Vincent van der Voort in the first round of the European Darts Matchplay.

Pipe averaged nearly 89 and hit 90 and 130 checkouts to kick the Dutchman out of the World Matchplay race. Earlier on the afternoon Maik Langendorf overcame Michael Barnard 6-1.
Martin Schindler and Robert Marijanovic both defeated Dutch players to move into the second round. Schindler dropped only one leg against Mario Robbe, while Marijanovic beat Jermaine Wattimena 6-3.
