The Players Championship Finals 2017 is edging close to it's conclusion and as the games decrease, the legs increase. There are some standout matches after a brilliant afternoon of top notch tungsten as the Quarter-Finals will take shape for tomorrow afternoon.
Rob Cross takes on Adrian Lewis in a rematch of the clash they had at the World Matchplay, Lewis came out on top that night and made the semi-final and today brushed aside Richard North in a brilliant clash on Stage Two and will be wanting to take the form he accrued back up to the main stage for a clash with one of the fastest rising stars of
PDC darts.
Jermaine Wattimena who has impressed with wins over Keegan Brown and Mickey Mansell takes on the evergreen Steve Beaton who wasn't at his best against Jelle Klaasen but will we see the young dutchman come through or will the Bronzed Adonis roll back the years in Minehead.
Michael van Gerwen went 2-0 down in the afternoon but smashed through Steve West 6-2 and he will want to do the same against Darren Webster who will want to repeat his feat of 12 months ago but follow it through to the end after being 6-0 up and losing to Mighty Mike.
Finally on the main stage, one of the best non tour card holders on the circuit Peter Jacques who knocked out Steve Hine earlier has another big stage date with Jan Dekker in a match that is bound to be a cracking end to the evening on the main stage.
On Stage 2, the stand out's include Stephen Bunting, Jonny Clayton, James Wade and Daryl Gurney as Red's Bar is bound to be rocking and producing some more brilliant tungsten this evening.
