Players Championship Finals 2017 Day Two Afternoon Session Schedule & Preview

Day 2 is here of the Players Championship Finals in Minehead. The likes of Gary Anderson, Peter Wright & Raymond van Barneveld have all been dumped out by Mickey Mansell, Steve Hine and Ian White respectively and they will be back today to hopefully add another scalp to their cap.

This hands the initiative back to the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Rob Cross, Daryl Gurney and Mensur Suljovic who have to be the favourites for the tournament now and are all in action this afternoon.

First game on the Main Stage is Dave Chisnall vs William O'Connor, both men scraped through in deciders yesterday and we could get a perceived shock early doors tomorrow if 'Chizzy' isn't on his game. Mensur vs Stephen Bunting follows that and this could go either way, Mensur is playing brilliantly at the moment but so is Bunting and this makes for a potential game of the day.

Daryl Gurney faces Robbie Green as he aims to continue his great run of form as of late but despite whitewashing Jeffrey de Zwaan yesterday it was far from convincing and so 'Superchin' will have to be on his game to get past 'Kong'.

Rob Cross takes on Steve Lennon in what will probably be game of the day between two of the fastest rising stars on the PDC circuit with Lennon showing some great ability on the big stage last week at the Grand Slam. Mickey Mansell will play Jermaine Wattimena, Mansell shocked Gary Anderson yesterday but could be in for a rough ride against 'Machinegun' who defeated Keegan Brown in only 9 minutes yesterday.

Michael van Gerwen continues his assault for another title against Steve West and the two surprise packages in Steve Hine and Peter Jacques square off on the main stage to end the afternoon session.

On Stage 2, the likes of Adrian Lewis, James Wade, Richard North, Gerwyn Price and Darren Webster all in action in a bumper afternoon of darts which will dictate the rest of the tournament.
