James Wade, Mensur Suljovic, Daryl Gurney and Gerwyn Price have all yet to confirm their places at the O2 meaning every Premier League match tonight has some bearing when it comes to this race.
Michael van Gerwen and Rob Cross are also locked into a battle for topping the table with Cross looking
to become the third player to do so in the Premier League Darts. He will do with a victory
as the Dutchman is behind ‘Voltage’ in the standings.
It all kicks off with Gerwyn Price versus Peter Wright. Price must win or draw and hope that other results go his way in order to qualify. As a result he will be hoping that out of contention Wright will do him a favour. The same can be said for Daryl Gurney and Michael Smith. Gurney though will be at the O2 in London if he can better Suljovic and Price’s results.
Suljovic has the very same equation in that he must better Price and Gurney’s results but it doesn’t get tougher than Michael van Gerwen who like alluded to is still after league honours. The world number one will also be aiming to bounce back after
disappointment on the European Tour last weekend.
Finally James Wade will take on Rob Cross. Wade is all but qualified but needs a draw and win and if Gurney or Suljovic fail to win anyway he will be qualified already.
