This week marks the end of the Premier League which means the end of the Dartsnews.com VIP Prediction League after it's inaugural year but with still a lot to play for in this final week. Laure James and Keith Deller are going to be battling it out for the top spot.
The rules are very simple, Every week the VIPs predict the results of the subsequent round of the Premier League Darts. Choosing the right winner gives one point, and correct result garners three points. The participants do not have to fear a ‘Judgement Night’. Everyone plays along to the Play-Offs, which will be played in London on Thursday 17 May. The one who has collected the most points after the final evening wins the VIP prediction competition. In terms of the semi-finals, Michael van Gerwen is seen as the runaway winner by the competitors. All 8 see him defeating World Champion, Rob Cross. Similar can be said for Gary Anderson vs Michael Smith; with Anderson barring by Laure James being picked as the winner over Michael Smith. James picking Smith could prove a masterstroke in her potentially claiming the title. In terms of the final and the different outcomes most see Michael van Gerwen being champion if he goes through; if Cross goes through to face Anderson, the Scotsman is seen as the winner while if Smith gets through, his opponent is seen as the overall winner in both instances. to view the standings in the Premier League VIP Prediction League.

- I agree. There needs to be a points system and preferably just a rolling one year. World Championship should earn the most points though it can be argued that the current qualification system does see a fair few players qualify from regional country qualifiers who would struggle to hold down a place on the Pro Tour. If prize money won is going to remain as the determining factor for ranking then the World Championship should just consist of the 128 Tour Card Holders. Another option would be to take the World Championship out of the rankings and have it as the stand alone pinnacle that you qualify for by winning certain tournaments or your ranking position, sort of like a GSOD+.Mysstree05-04-2025
