The prize fund breakdown has been released for this years' UK Open with an increase to this year's total with £450,000 on offer for the participants in Minehead.

This is to tie in with an expanded 159 player line up who will take their place in the tournament known to many as the FA Cup of Darts. As a result the winner at the 2019 UK Open will claim a record £100,000. This is up £30,000 from the previous total.
The runner up will only claim £5,000 more at £40,000 but due to the increased format, the money will have to be shared more evenly.
Every round gets an increase with Last 96 claiming £1,000 with Last 64 players receiving £2,000 for reaching that stage. With the increased format and prize fund, it will give players more incentive to come through the field and claim the title in Minehead.
