Price ended up winning 10-5 with an average of 100.21 in a rampant victory for the Welshman. This included six 180’s and two ton-plus checkouts as he aims for a second major crown later tonight.
The world number seven had a strong start with a 109 checkout and then doubled his advantage with double 12 with a 107 average in the early going. Stevenson came back though and Price only just had his nose in front at the first interval.
'The Mirror Man' following that had his best spell of the contest going 4-3 in front and wrestling the advantage back. Price hit back though and hit a blockbuster 164 checkout to hit the front again at 6-4. From there he surged to the win with ease and he will look to live up to his hype later on when the Semi-Finals take place.
