Prize Fund Breakdown for 2019 PDC World Darts Championship: £2,500,000 on offer

Ahead of the PDC World Championship, the prize fund has been revealed with a record amount available for those involved.
This is due to a record number of players involved and as a result it has been increased by £700,000 in total. In terms of winners prize money; it has been increased by £100,000 to £500,000 meaning even more to play for.
The runner up will claim £200,000 with the two semi-finalists who lose getting £100,000 each. This goes all the way down to first round losers who will all pocket £7,500 only a few thousand less than winning a normal PDC ranking event.

I was there when he (luckily) won the 96 World Championship, I expected him to win and perfom better in the PDC than he did as he moved over so early when he still had good form. - I agree. With the number of tournaments these days?, Phil could probably earn £2 million a year if still playing. I can't believe Chisnall has earned over half a million for being so inept, he barely gets past the first round, stealing a living. That's outrageous.richieburnettrocks26-11-2024
- As prize money increases each year and there are now more tournaments then logically breaking the £2 million barrier is going to happen, only thing preventing it is the now deeper strength in depth of the darting field. If you took Taylor’s best two consecutive years and substituted the prize money from now onto the tournaments he won he would have passed the £2 million.Mysstree26-11-2024
