Despite the World Championship still being on, the attention will soon turn to the Unibet Masters taking place at ArenaMK next month the first TV tournament of the new season after the Alexandra Palace spectacle and it brings together the best 16 players in the World.
In the provisional field, Michael van Gerwen will be out to defend his title for another year having potentially defended another of his titles the World Championship and the World's elite will be out to stop him.
There will be no Phil Taylor due to his retirement which has potentially given Kim Huybrechts a lifeline into the tournament having not had a brilliant 12 months. The likes of Daryl Gurney, Mensur Suljovic and Gerwyn Price who have impressed will also be there and as will the likes of Gary Anderson and Peter Wright.
Adrian Lewis despite getting to the semi-finals last year will not be there due to his ranking now which could further decrease as the World Championship continues but Rob Cross will be, the former electrician has shot up the rankings in 12 months and will make his debut in MK having won a tournament at that venue on the ProTour in his brilliant run last year.
