Results Players Championship 14, Quarter-Finals: Wright vs Wattimena & Cross vs Smith in semi-finals

The Semi-Final line up has been confirmed after the conclusion of the Quarter-Finals at Players Championship 14. It will see Peter Wright take on Jermaine Wattimena and Rob Cross face Michael Smith.
Wright came through against Dimitri van den Bergh mounting a brilliant comeback to see off the Dreammaker and keep his dreams alive at Players Championship 14.
Jermaine Wattimena his opponent and Rob Cross found it more plain sailing with 6-1 and 6-2 wins over Simon Whitlock and Adam Hunt respectively.
Cross will face Michael Smith in a battle of the World Champion vs the former World Youth Champion finally.

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I even turned to my husband and said "Could you imagine this happening if Russ Bray was the referee tonight? At least there would have been a crowd admonishment- Ladies and Gentleman please."
