Cross aiming for two from two as he sets up final with Wright at Players Championship 14

The final is confirmed at the fourteenth Players Championship event and it will see the top two seeds battling it out for £10,000 pounds. It is Rob Cross who was yesterday’s champion and Peter Wright once again aiming for a first title of 2018.

It was the tale of two contrasting semi-finals as the Players Championship double header comes to a close. Cross smashed his way past Michael Smith as he once again reached the round 101 mark which he has averaged throughout.
Wright came from a break down to cruelly deny Wattimena who reached a semi-final for a second consecutive day. Machine Gun seized the initiative in the decider and had 80 left only for Wright to take out 161 to book his place in the final.
