Results Players Championship 19, Last 16: Van Gerwen edges out Anderson in thriller

The Quarter-Final line up has been confirmed at Players Championship 19 with two big names standing out that are still involved.
Firstly Michael van Gerwen who faces Madars Razma. This was after a scintillating clash with Gary Anderson.
It was a game that went to a decider and despite stealing the darts, it was Anderson who had match darts the earliest. He missed 121 on the bull and MVG didn’t make a mistake closing out a 6-5 win.
Adrian Lewis has quietly gone under the radar today and after knocking out John Henderson, ‘Jackpot’ will face one of the standout performers of the past few months, James Wilson.
Also into the latter stages are the likes of Andrew Gilding, Jermaine Wattimena and Max Hopp.
Hopp in particular before his World Grand Prix debut continues his landmark year. He saw off Jamie Hughes who ended Peter Wright’s hopes earlier today.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
