Results Players Championship 19, Quarter-Finals: Razma dumps out Van Gerwen as semi-final line up confirmed

The semi-final line up is confirmed at Players Championship 19 as only one previous PDC ranking winner remains in contention.
That is Max Hopp who stunningly hit a 141 checkout in a deciding leg win over Jermaine Wattimena. He will face James Wilson who took out Adrian Lewis.
The major story came though with Madars Razma who dumped out Michael van Gerwen in a 6-5 win. The Latvian who has made his second PDC semi-final a year after the first was 4-1 and 5-2 up before letting MVG back.
A poor last leg from the Dutchman allowed Razmatazz a big win.
He will face the returning to form Andrew Gilding who edged past Steve West.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
