Results Players Championship 9, Last 16: Van Gerwen smashes Whitlock, Anderson & Lewis also through

The ninth Players Championship is coming to it's conclusion with the Quarter-Final line-up set. Michael van Gerwen is still involved smashing Simon Whitlock 6-1 once again getting the better of the Wizard.
He will face Jonny Clayton who squeezed past Ian White, the new Euro Tour winner will hope to cause a shock to win back-to-back titles potentially.
Daryl Gurney defeated the dangerous Michael Barnard and will face James Wade who defeated a dangerous player himself in Ryan Joyce who has been brilliant on the Players Championship series this year.
Adrian Lewis who reached consecutive finals last time out will face Jason Lowe in a repeat of a semi-final from one of the UK Open qualifiers which Lowe won.
Finally Gary Anderson will face Scott Taylor who smashed Steve West 6-1 so could be a dangerous opponent for the Flying Scotsman.
