Results third round PC1: Van Barneveld, Anderson and Lewis knocked out in third round

Raymond van Barneveld, Gary Anderson and Adrian Lewis suffered third round defeats at the first Players Championship of the year as Terry Jenkins remained in contention.

Van Barneveld was unable to challenge Dave Chisnall (1-6), while Lewis came up short against Keegan Brown: 3-6. Gary Anderson lost out in a deciding leg against a resurgent Benito van de Pas. Kim Huybrechts, Stephen Bunting and Kyle Anderson were among the other players eliminated.
Terry Jenkins reached the last 16 of a PDC-event for the first time since 2016 with a 6-3 win over Cristo Reyes. The Raging Bull had already knocked out Maik Langendorf and Mervyn King in his first two matches.
World-number-one Michael van Gerwen comfortably held off Josh Payne, with fellow Premier League stars Michael Smith and Rob Cross getting the better of Stephen Burton and Arron Monk respectively.
