RVB through in dramatic semi-final vs Gurney

Raymond van Barneveld (RVB) battled back from being on the jaws of defeat to defeat Daryl Gurney and have a third game in a row where it has gone down to the wire after only just defeating Corey Cadby and Phil Taylor. The former 5 time World Champion was 10-8 down but kept his cool to battle back and beat Gurney in the final leg with Superchin having darts to win and now Barney will go on to face Gary Anderson in the final in Perth.
Gurney surprisingly missed a double and Barney pounced to break hitting a 110 checkout to go 1-0 up. Barney doubled his lead with D16 in the early going. Gurney got a leg on the board though with Barney missed darts at double allowing him to hit a 75 checkout.
More missed darts from Gurney allowed RVB to hit D10 for a 3-1 lead despite not being at his best. Gurney held his throw on D20 to go 3-2 behind. Barney kept the momentum up hitting 30 last dart on D4 to go 4-2 up.
Gurney somehow stayed in contention as Barney missed darts for 5-2 up and he hit D5 for 4-3 down at the interval. RVB came back from the break to restore his 2 leg lead with a 59 checkout to go 5-3 up. Missed darts at double from Barney allowed Gurney to hold his throw on D4 to go 5-4 behind and hand the momentum to Superchin. A 96 checkout though from Barney dispelled that and he went 6-4 up. Gurney hit the same equation in the next leg to go 6-5 behind.
Gurney levelled it up with a brilliant 158 checkout which stunned the crowd and Barney. He went ahead for the first time hitting D16 to make it 7-6. Barney made a great response hitting a 143 checkout to make it 7-7.
Gurney wired D18 for a 158 checkout and Barney had the chance on his favourite D18 but he missed and this allowed the Irishman to hit D9 to make it 8-7. Gurney followed this up by breaking on D16 after Barney missed yet more darts to make it 9-7.
Gurney wired D15 for a 150 checkout and Barney hit 68 on D4 for a break and was back on form after taking his glasses off. Gurney cleaned up 82 to go to one away at 10-8 up. Barney stayed alive taking out 32 to break and potentially force a decider.
Barney did just that taking out D2 last dart in hand but Gurney has the darts. Both men were almost neck and neck in the decider and with Gurney missing darts to win, Barney hit his famous D18 to get through to the final and set up a final with Anderson.
