Phil Taylor's glittering professional career is over, but the Power still has no issue attracting sponsors.

The 16-time world champion has extended his deal with manufacturer Target Darts. Taylor's Target contract will run until 2021. Target, who also sponsor Rob Cross and Raymond van Barneveld among others, will create his darts and merchandise for the next three years. His original deal, signed in 2014, was due to expire next year.
The Stoke-on-Trent ace's final game was defeat to Rob Cross in the World Championship final. Since then, the Power has expanded his horizons. Taylor has participated in exhibitions and non-ranking events around the world. His foray into the soft-tip game has, typically, been a success. The 57-year-old reached the final of the DartsLive Super Darts in Tokyo. Only fellow Target signing Haruki Muramatsu was able to stand in his way.
"Phil might not be on the pro-circuit anymore but he is still doing exhibitions and trust me – you haven’t seen the last of him," promised Target MD Garry Plummer.
"Someone that has done what Phil has done & made the impact that he has made throughout his career – they don’t just disappear.
"He is a legend, amazing to work with and I’m so pleased to continue this next part of his journey with him.”
