Updated Race to World Matchplay ahead of cut off: Klaasen opens lead over North

The cut off for World Matchplay is coming up and there could still be movement in terms of those qualifying for the Winter Gardens. At the moment though, Jelle Klaasen holds the last provisional spot from the ProTour ranking.

This is despite a poor year so far for Klaasen who potentially could have seen him missing out on the World Matchplay. Richard North is £1,000 behind him but while The Cobra can still qualify for the final European Tour before the cut off; North has to rely on the Players Championship events
One player who could fall out is in the seedings, Alan Norris currently sits 15th but has Kim Huybrechts, Adrian Lewis & Joe Cullen all behind him.
Huybrechts himself is the final seed but will want to go higher to avoid meeting Van Gerwen early on and is qualified himself for Hamburg due to James Wade’s withdrawal.
