Clayton set for career high fourth seeding in today’s Players Championship

A bumper week of darting action starts today with the first of two weekday Players Championship events coming from Barnsley. This has meant multiple withdrawals which has handed Jonny Clayton a career high seeding for the double header.
The main withdrawals in the fifteenth Players Championship come in the form of Michael van Gerwen and Mensur Suljovic who probably have their eye towards Hamburg this weekend.
For Clayton though it shows the rise of the Pontyberem ace who has won a Euro and Pro Tour and made a TV final in the past year as well as making his World Cup debut.
