Raymond van Barneveld and Michael van Gerwen will meet each other in the third round at the Dutch Darts Masters. The Dutch darting legends both won their second round match on Saturday evening.
Van Gerwen produced a brilliant game against William O'Connor as the Dutchman averaged nearly 107 to beat the Irishman 6-2. Van Gerwen broke the Irishman's throw in the fifth leg and extended his lead with a 14-darter and a 148 checkout. O'Connor missed one dart on the double to stay alive, before the world number one hit double 17 to win the match.
Van Barneveld beat Michael Smith 6-3 as the St Helens thrower missed eight darts on the doubles throughout the game. A superb 100 finish in the ninth leg gave Barney the victory. Mervyn King knocked out number three seed Daryl Gurney as 'The King' won 6-1.
