Chisnall started off proceedings by edging past Steve Beaton in a 6-2 victory. 'Chizzy' punished the in-form former Lakeside champion who only hit 18 percent of his doubles meaning it was an easy route through for the St Helens ace.
White had it a lot more tougher in his tie against Mickey Mansell. He got out of jail against the Clonoe Cyclone with him missing five match darts and from there he snatched the victory in a 6-5 win as he starts his quest to reach a fourth consecutive European Tour final.
Finally Hopp produced a stunning win smashing Joe Cullen 6-0 in a whitewash win. 'The Rockstar' averaged 85 and hit 0/7 on his doubles compared to 6/15 from his opponent which in reality was the difference in what was an unexpected result in Zwolle.
