Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright are set to face off in what is bound to be one of the ties of the Quarter-Finals tonight mainly due to their previous ties but both players had contrasting routes through at the Austrian Darts Open.

Van Gerwen came through with ease against Stephen Bunting with him not having to produce anywhere near his best despite winning 6-1 against 'The Bullet' who only averaged 79.
Wright on the other hand survived a potential banana skin against Tytus Kanik. 'Tito' has been going under the radar recently and has been producing some brilliant performances.
Kanik took Wright all the way to a last-leg decider and 'Snakebite' got there finally on his eighth match dart in all. Despite that it was a good performance statistics wise for Wright with a 97 average and five 180's.
He will know that he will need to step it up and not miss as many chances against MVG who in both games so far has looked ruthless. Could Wright stop MVG winning a fourth European Title out of five this season?
