Van Gerwen confident ahead of final Premier League run in: ‘I’m going to win this one’

Michael van Gerwen returned to form on Thursday drawing with Daryl Gurney and smashing his nearest rival Michael Smith. This was after two consecutive defeats last week in Rotterdam.
After claiming 3 points, ‘Mighty Mike’ spoke and is confident that he is going to win the league phase. Also for Van Gerwen he is focused on the O2 and has the target of two wins to win the league. “I’m going to win this one,” said Van Gerwen, who was awarded the Dutch equivalent of an MBE on Thursday. “My focus is now on preparing for The O2 and, of course, I want to win every game. “I think I performed well through the season even though I had a few slip-ups, but I’m happy to be in the semi-finals. “I think I’m going to finish top of the league and hopefully I can do that by finishing the regular season with two wins.”
