Simon Whitlock ended Gary Anderson's four-game winning run with a 7-5 victory. This defeat means that it throws the play-off race wide open in the Premier League.
'The Wizard' showed lots of fight despite not being able to qualify for the play-offs and he showed that by claiming 2 points.
This pleased Whitlock who lauded it as amazing and that despite knowing he won't make the O2 that he is going to try his heart out for the rest of the campaign.
"To bounce back this week and beat one of the best players on the planet is amazing for me," said Whitlock.
"I don't want to finish eighth, but I'll just play each game as it comes now and hopefully play the darts I know I can.
"I know I'm not going to make the Play-Offs, but I'm going to try my heart out every single week. I love playing darts and I love the Premier League.
"It's been a disappointing month for me but I'm over the moon with the two points tonight."
